Danbury Man Found Asleep In Vehicle In Road Arrested For DUI, Drug Possession, Newtown PD Says

A Danbury man found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle parked in the roadway was arrested for DUI and drug possession, police said.

Julio Moreno-Paulino, 29, was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 14 by Newtown Police after the department received a call that a man was asleep in a vehicle while in the roadway on Mount Pleasant Road, said Newtown Police Lt. Aaron Bahamonde.

An investigation by police found that Moreno-Paulino was allegedly driving under the influence and was in possession of marijuana, Bahamonde said

He was arrested and released on a $1,000 bond. Moreno-Paulino is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 2, 2020.
